The Stinson Beach Historical Society collects photographs, documents, oral histories and memorabilia significant to the history of Stinson Beach and its environs; keeps these available for retrieval, provides for perpetual care and uses them in exhibitions & publications for the educational enrichment of the public.

Stinson Beach has a unique musical history from Janis Joplin to Pablo Cruise. Jerry Garcia owned a home in Stinson Beach.
